1. Get an Anthropic API key
Create one at console.anthropic.com/settings/keys. Haiku costs ~$0.001 per enhancement. $5 of credit lasts thousands of calls.
2. Download the extension

3. Unzip, then load it in Chrome
Unzip the file. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, flip the Developer mode toggle on (top-right), click Load unpacked, pick the unzipped folder.
4. Paste your key
Click the extension icon in your toolbar. Make sure the BYOK tab is selected. Paste your key into Anthropic API key, click Save all. The key lives in your browser's local storage only. It is sent directly to Anthropic when you click Enhance. Our servers never see it.
5. Try it
Go to claude.ai (or ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity). You'll see a black ✦ Enhance button next to the chat input. Type rough, click once, get a structured prompt.

Troubleshooting

Button doesn't appear. Refresh the tab after installing. Claude and ChatGPT load their UIs dynamically; the extension needs one refresh to inject.
"No API key set" error. Open the popup, confirm BYOK is selected (not Hosted), paste the key, click Save all, then try again.
Anthropic 401 or 403. Your key is wrong or your Anthropic account is out of credit. Check console.anthropic.com/settings/usage.
Developer mode warning in Chrome. Expected behavior for unpacked extensions. Will go away when we publish to the Chrome Web Store.
